One Okaloosa EDC Recognized With State “Deal of the Year” Award

One Okaloosa EDC was recognized by the Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC) with the 2026 “Deal of the Year” award during the organization’s annual conference in Orlando on May 14. One Okaloosa submitted the Williams International project for consideration by the FEDC Awards Review Panel earlier this year. Williams International is currently building the first phase of a 1,000,000 square-foot gas turbine engine manufacturing plant at the Shoal River Industrial Park near Crestview.
Cincinnati-based Sims-Lohman Announces Acquisition of Facility in Crestview, FL

Sims-Lohman, the nation’s largest provider of kitchen cabinets, granite, and quartz countertops to building professionals, has purchased a 65,000 square foot facility located in Crestview, Florida. One Okaloosa EDC assisted the company with the initial facility search, ultimately leading to the successful property acquisition.
Northeast Okaloosa County Designated as Rural Area of Opportunity for New Job Creation

Northeast Okaloosa County now joins neighboring counties as a Rural Area of Opportunity (RAO) following an Executive Order by Gov. DeSantis on Tuesday. This designation will be used as a tool to attract job-creating industries that will further stimulate the economy in northeast Okaloosa County.

One Okaloosa EDC Unveils Next Generation Website

One Okaloosa EDC officially launched a new on-line presence today with the announcement of www.oneokaloosa.org. Developed by Appleyard Duncan McCall, a Pensacola-based marketing agency, the site replaces One Okaloosa’s prior site that had been in existence since 2017. One Okaloosa had previously undertaken a website refresh following the organization’s rebranding from the Economic Development Council of Okaloosa County to One Okaloosa EDC in late 2020.
